Hence why I just write on the little paper survey they send that I am biased against the courts. I get a letter in 3-4 days saying I don't need to appear. You would think they would flag me in the computer though, so that I don't get summoned for it again.
I have been subpoenaed onto the stand as a witness too. I was driving home from work one night when I saw a pickup run a car off the road (like in movies, where they run them off the road on purpose) and slammed on my brakes and whipped a U-turn. I probably saved the woman's life because when I pulled up behind the car, I saw them down in the ditch. He swung on her, then was surprised by my headlights aiming down into the ditch and ran for his truck and tore out of there. Sadly the bastard got away with it because I never saw his face, just his truck. And in the dark I couldn't tell if it was red or brown. It ended up being a dark red, but since I couldn't identify the guy they wouldn't convict him of the assault. Which is bullshit, I gave a pretty accurate description of the truck, the woman identified him, and he was caught with her cell phone. And people wonder why I'm prejudiced against the courts? What the FUCK man?
