Here we go again - Rhubarb - 11-26-2011 Letter for Philip. Brown envelope. Crown stamped on the back. *now what......... Jury Service ![]() This is the second one for this house, do you remember Christine was called up? She was furious, they were really busy at work and the only thing she could do was go into the courts every day then rush into work and do what she could for an hour or so. She sat two hearings, one lasted just one day and the second for five days. All pointless she decided. Her attitude was 'If the Crown Prosecution felt they had enough for a trial to go to Crown court, then they were 90% guilty' * forget innocent until proven otherwise ![]() Philip has only just caught up with all his course work at college after his year out from his bike accident. Unless his tutor sets his papers for him to do over the internet he will be behind again! Philip has just booked his first holiday too on the strength of completing the term on time. ![]() We need to know which of his many Tee shirts should he wear? The one he bought in Philadelphia? "The fun stops here" " when the Police arrive The Grinfactor? Wasn't me His favourite Don't Piss Me Off- I'm running out of places to bury the bodies Then there are his 'Error' Tees if it is an internet fraud case. As you can see, he isn't taking it very seriously, yet. He did admit he doesn't mind, if he does get accepted, then he can see what his sister did. *Must remember not to take sweets into the court room and hand them around the rest of the Jury- she really got told off for that. If I remember she saw the Judge trying to not to smile. I hate ironing shirts............. RE: Here we go again - Twitchin Kitten - 11-26-2011 Just tell him to put on as if he's a bigot and is in favor of the death penalty. That usually does it here. RE: Here we go again - Havoc - 11-27-2011 I want to do jury duty, I guess some people just don't fucking get it. But so far I never have, as soon as I check the are you or have you been LE it seems that I don't have what it takes to serve as a juror. If I can't pepper spray them and throw tham on the ground and cuff them up, the least I can do is throw their stupid criminal asses in jail, I would love to sit on a jury for the cali college idiots. RE: Here we go again - Gunnen4u - 11-27-2011 The fact people avoid jury duty is why half the time I wouldn't trust the retards left filling jury seats to make a decent decision. But hey, fuck jury duty, let's act like goofs in order to get out of it!! RE: Here we go again - twisteroo - 11-27-2011 I have been on jury duty a couple of times, I like it, I want to do my part to bust some fuckers nuts. Anyway....if you don't want to do it, just tell them that you can't be impartial, the person already pissed you off by making you miss work, school, etc, and you will find them guilty just to get even. You will be on your way. RE: Here we go again - Twitchin Kitten - 11-27-2011 Matt's done jury duty and kind of liked it. His boss gave him a hard time for the week off though. I've never been asked. I would do it. Anyone looking to squirm out of it should be let go with ease. Those are the people I don't want sitting on my jury if I had to pick one. They won't give it an honest effort. RE: Here we go again - Rhubarb - 11-27-2011 He has just arrived back from the motorbike show at the NEC in Birmingham. There was a mixture of students on the minibus. They all agreed it was his public duty to attend, after all one pointed out to him the courts may decided once he get there that he isn't needed. RE: Here we go again - twisteroo - 11-27-2011 Oh, you gotta go, but when they ask if you think you can have an un-opinionated view on the matter, you tell them that you are already pissed off at the person for fucking up you day. Goodbye. I always want to go to jury duty, but I do get paid from work for going too. RE: Here we go again - Biker Dude - 11-27-2011 Over all the years I have only received I think two notifications for jury duty, and my number never came up. But my first wife was within 200 jurors of being on Tim McVeigh's jury. RE: Here we go again - Rhubarb - 11-28-2011 He just told the company. HR told him 'fill in the forms, tell them you're in an apprenticeship and deferring until July 2012 would be appreciated so can to complete your exams' Wait and see what happens. |
