I own a pit bull. I owned two of them until New Year's Eve this year (had to put the old guy down, it was his time).
NONE of the "bully breeds" are aggressive by 'nature'. There is no such thing as a 'bad dog'.
I've been fighting against breed specific legislation here for ages. So far, I'm ahead of the game in NJ but try to get homeowners insurance with any breed you don't know the parents of! They don't want to hear it's a mutt. You MUST know what kind of mix it is. I call bullshit on that.
Saffies are lovely little dogs and again, are not aggressive by nature. Like pits, they are loyal to their families and will babysit your child.
The assholes who abuse, fight and poorly breed and train these dogs are what makes the good dogs and owners suffer. Trust me, I'm in the thick of it constantly. My dog wouldn't hurt a fly. If someone came in the house to rob us, she'll show him where the cookies are. She loves everyone and thinks they are here to see her. Aggressive my ass.
As you can see by banning a specific breed, the UK probably made the situation worse. It goes underground and no one can watch what's going on with breeding, caring and training. These people self medicate, self euthanize (in the most horrific ways too) and play veterinarian all the time.

I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head
