We have Vista on both computers and looked at Windows 7 today at the store.
Bruce hates vista I don't mind it so much.
but if windows 7 is better he might like it better.
Thanks
Windows 7 is a major improvement over Vista. The UAC (User Account Control, commonly mistakenly referred to as User Access Control) is far less annoying, and is also easier to disable (which I always do). It has smoothed out the rough edges of new features released in Vista. And all in all seems to run faster. I'm still a Linux geek, and I'm still a tad pissed about Mirco$oft stealing the look of the KDE Desktop Environent for Linux (Yes, in Linux you get to CHOOSE your desktop, there is not "stock" one) for Vista/Win7
Screenshots of what I mean...

As you can see they both have a circular start button, and icons for task bar items. They're almost identical. The grouping of similar things on the task bar with pop up showing miniature versions of the program windows is also in KDE for Linux but I don't have a screenie handy as I normally run GNOME for Linux instead.
So yeah...
Microsoft steals yet another idea...
