I kinda like doing that. Except under a sink then I get the couplings, 90's and 45's pre soldered and all you do is heat them up. They have a ring of solder/flux 1/8" in from each end. But the new thing is pex fittings. Those are so tight you can use them for gas. I redid all my propane lines in stainless with ward-flex last year. The only problem with that is you have to ground to a circuit box, and cannot use a copper rod 4ft into the ground. I did not like the old copper lines.
