Today I saw an osprey having a fish lunch! And wouldn't you know it, Matt took the little camera with him and I won't take the big one on the bike!
he was close enough to get a look at his eyes! Gorgeous bird. I saw him swoop into the marsh and grab the fish, fly up to a perch on a dead tree and rip the poor fish to bits and eat it. Then the stupid advertising planes came by headed for Seaside Heights and scared him off.
I also saw a bright red chipmunk and a red squirrel. I didn't know we had red squirrels here. I only saw the common gray ones.
I picked up a bunch of bottles that the slobs tossed onto the side of the trail and tossed them into the trash when I got to the end of the trail. Assholes. How hard is it to hold onto your crap until you hit the trash can? I always bring a bag to pick up stuff when I can. I don't go into the woods to see shit and garbage.
