He focused on Iraq because he had a hardon for Saddam Hussein, if it hadn't been the bogus WMD, he would have found some other bogus reason.

You're right on that. But my point is he also said out loud that he would hold serious consequences, blah blah blah. Saddam forced his hand and thought GW wouldn't follow through. All Saddam had to do was cooperate. Also, Congress didn't have to vote yes to the war. No matter what they had put in front of them, they didn't have to vote yes. It's all a big mess on that whole war issue.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 I'm pretty sure we're not getting any Iraqi oil right now.

0 LOL I wish we were getting oil, lots of cheap oil. Then there would have been a point besides giving a bunch of fucking Arabs *freedom*. I am down with cheap, stable supplies of oil being a cause for war.

To top it off......the Senate voted 98 - 0 in favor and the house had only 1 no vote. That being the case, regardless of later reasoning, only one out of all the lawmakers seated at the time had any room to bitch. As far as the whole WMD thing, all those who voted saw the intel, if they thought it was flawed then why did they vote in favor of the declaration of war? No matter how you slice it, Bush had over 500 partners in that decision. Since then most of the intel gathering agencies now share information. This was not the case prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Had it been, maybe we wouldn't have gone. However, you can't put the genie back in the bottle once it's uncorked. The aftermath of Saddam's demise was where the COLOSSAL mishandling began and remains to this day......3 1/2 YEARS into Obama's administration.

Anybody who doesn't know who that Marxist SOB is, needs to go there and just see how one man could take such a wonderful land, with so many natural resources, and totally trash it to the point where it may never recover again. What that bastard has done to Zimbabwe is a classic example of just why Collectivism of any form, must be stamped out, and believers put in an asylum.

I tend to agree with you that Junior, JW, or whatever you want to call that Big Government Dumbass, was really bad, he doesn't come close to this Collectivist Bastard. I'd just as soon throw both of them into the ocean and let them fight off the sharks. But Obama needs to get a little bit of Assyrian punishment first. Until we manage to rid ourselves of all this Big Government horseshit and get back to what our Founding Fathers intended, we are going to continue to screw ourselves royally.

So what made them decide to "free" Iraq, as opposed to any of the countries going down the shitter in Africa, Zim included? |
