Some of No1 son's friends went to this. They had to get up fairly early to get there for their place in the ride. They had tickets numbered in the 990's, so they guessed there would be a few bikes!

No, we didn't go, too far and Phil's idea of the best Mothering Sunday for me is be busy and out of my way Wink
He started restoring his sisters car today.
I polished my bike, checked it over and went for a ride! Yahoo

Met a petrolhead conservationist at the National Parkway vistor centre Rofl who had booked to go on the Wootton Bassett ride, but then had to work.
He loves biking and swooping up cars but believes in saving the planet- how does that work Scratchead
He is going to let us have a BBQ at the centre for the car club maybe later in the year Drinks

(oh yes! Got a lovely bouquet of flowers from No1 son too)

I'm betting that petrol conservationist works much like that backhoe that digs the hole for the green funeral?

Happy Belated Mothering Day Trudi (and everyone else in the UK).

I never remember your mother's day! You guys have it too early!

Great ride and a great cause. Thanks for posting Rhubarb!

I am one of those who enjoy large groups. [that's not to say I do not enjoy riding solo] But , I am always at the front of the pack, It might be different if I had to ride further back in the pack.

Heres a couple pics [ some of you may have seen these before, so bear with me] I am riding my red HD FLHTC.

How do you determine who gets to ride in front?

Or has a blue flashing light fixed to the bike. Giggle

I'm not so fond of the big runs after all I've only got a little bike so I get left behind. I really like the Christmas run which is staged so I'd feel more included even at 70mph.

I know TK really think I should get a Harley eventually but sorry guys I really can't be inspired, maybe one will turn up that I'll take to but they really aren't for English roads.
I like a friends Blackbird (don't google that without warning!) but it is far to big for me!wot

Whoever can piss highest against the fencepost.

The average biker "gang" behaves very much like a pack of wild dogs.

You certainly have a one track mentality don't you?

Trudi, I'd get an old Norton or BSA or Triumph. If you ever get inspired to drive an HD, go for the smaller Sportster like I had, the 883 Hugger. Shorter wheel base and made for those twisty roads but designed to be comfortable for long rides.
