Found my new car. OMG it might as well be called a Shelby because all the same options are there. This is worth whatever I pay for it (as long as it's not more than the Shelby I spec'd out because thats my financial limit) because this car will only hold or go up in value over time. The only thing I will change are the Recaro seats. I can't physically use them as they cause me a lot of pain in my back and neck.

And one last video with the ORIGINAL stunt version from the movie AND Steve McQueen's granddaughter:

Cool special edition.

Dodge should take a cue and issue a Charger to go along with the Mustang.

I am always surprised when people are surprised by these things.  I have been waiting to see the car for a while.  It IS the 50th anniversary of the movie and the original after all.

I have always been a fan of the looks.  The lowered stance, the lack of badges.  And I think they should get rid of the option for black.  They ALL should be Highland Green.

Cue ball shifter is on point.

No pricing yet.  It WON'T be cheap.  Haven't heard how many there will be either as it is a limited production.

Oh, no slush boxes.  Can you little people reach the clutch pedal?

I can reach the clutch asshole Tongue

I'm going to give the dealer a good faith check this week. Talked to him yesterday and he said he sat through the podcast about the car but they said NOTHING about how many are going to be made or the MSRP, but he did say he's going to add $7500 to the MSRP. Then tried to talk me out of it and sell me one of the two Shelby's on the lot for invoice pricing. Nope. Don't want either of those because they are NOT the colors or the interior I want. I had just got through telling him the Recaro seats cause me pain and I can't have them and those two have the Recaro seats. They're 2017's and I'm betting they've been sitting there for some time to make that offer to me like that.

I'm going to give him $1000 good faith money and he's to hold onto it. Once he hears about the Bullitt's release he's to put me on the list and then call me with the info. I can always back off the list once I know if I can swing the price or not.

Another link. Doesn't really say anything different that was allowed out by Ford already but there is a good photo on the page headliner. Smile

Ford hasn't released the price. Nor even the HP yet as they aren't even done tweaking it. I would expect them to be in the $50k neighborhood. That is in between the GT and the Shelby. I also saw that the Recaro's are optional, I will see if I can dig that tidbit back up...

Yeah, I read about the seats being able to be changed. I read 475hp and if that's the price you found and are pretty damn sure of it, it's MINE. holy crap I want this car. Gonna be a long year waiting this one out.

that pic above is HOT. Ima take it and make it my desktop.

Hey Biker where did you find that info on pricing? I can only find this and it's dated october '17 and pictures are showing older cars.

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/bulli...20862.html

Also, spoke with the dealer in Dearborn because of the bullshit with the truck and he asked me how he can make this right. I told him to get me a sweet deal on the Bullitt. He said I should NOT give money to any dealer in good faith and a good dealer will not take my check. I dunno. How do you get on a list for something that will be so hot without any money down? I'll still put my money down. I have no problem flying out to Dearborn and driving that sweet thing home.

Price is a guess based on the other Mustangs. I would not expect it to be that close to the GT350, but I could be wrong. Of course I am talking MSRP, dealers will tack on more. As to a list? Good question. They will sell every one made, probably right away.

As to HP, Ford has said they aren't done tuning, which is why they haven't released HP numbers yet. Expect it to go up. Not all the way to the 526 of the GT350, but maybe closer to under 500. Haven't seen torque numbers, that is the number you should be looking at anyway.
