You can now NOT get arrested for possession of 25 grams or less of weed in NYC.

What's stupid is this: You can get arrested if you are caught smoking but if you are caught walking around flaunting a bag of weed, you only get a ticket.

^ That shit is what and how the news around here are reporting this story. Why not just say if you're stopped and happened to get searched and they find weed, you'll only be ticketed? The news is stupid I swear.

Well of course they want to stir shit. It's the main stream media's way.

That way they might create other events that they can deem "news worthy" and therefore justify their jobs.

so they essentially made it legal, while still banning public smoking like they are cigs sort of. Dosn't seem half bad. to lazy to read article just going off TK's comments.

When they decriminalized it back in '77 my friend Angela was one of the first to get a ticket for smoking in public. It was different the first go-round where you would only get ticketed if caught smoking in public. Now they'll bust you for smoking it but ticket you for holding.

the minorities are the ones typically stupid enough to go around reeking of it and waving bags of it around though...
