0 Thanks Biker!
Not really. I got lucky for a few hours, but the birds crapped ALL OVER her overnight so I had to give it a wash and get that quick n slick on it. Then the pollen. ugh. But the rains started about 1/2 hour after I took that pic. Go figure. Gotta find a new cover too. waiting for the place I got the one for the '14 to open on moday so I can call them to see if it will fit. if not, I need to get a custom fit one made for the summer and pollen. There is a storage place here, national chain called Mini U Storage and they have a deal that if you rent from November through April - 6 months - they will let you use it as a garage for $100 a month. Not a bad deal at all. I may take them up on that since I got the Edge now for winter and shit weather. This car! Holy shit she's fast. Cornering is just beautiful. They really amped up their game for this model. There is a PROPER cold air intake where the fog lamps were. There's a tube sucking in cold air that goes into the 'rat trap' from underneath. It's insane. I love it. Loud as hell out of the box too. I don't think I'll be spending money on a new exhaust. 3 different sound levels for that and I'm happy with the sound. It's a nice, deep rumble and growl.

0 Sounds like a not too bad deal. Not surprised at how it handles. I've bought new before (bikes...lol) but never ordered it just like I wanted it. Changed it after, but not ordered. Congrats.
Right now I am working on a new place for all the bikes, I am clearing the space next to my new house, a tough shed is going up to hold the bikes. Keeps them out of the garage, safer that way!

0 I'm not so happy with the "normal" mode for driving. Now keep in mind there is a drive mode and a steering mode. Comfort /normal I'm finding the car is - how do I describe this? - Loose on the road? Not really loose but it will shimmy and grab with all the deformities and divots in the road where the old car held firm. It must be the new suspension system. When I keep her in Sport+ mode it's just beautiful.
It has a wet/snow mode too which is nice. They also added launch control and some other thing where you can flip a switch and do a burn out without any effort. LOL for those who just don't know how to do it I guess! There's also a race mode and track mode too which warn you not to use them on the street. FINALLY they put a stash box for your sunglasses. Sadly it's too small for sunglasses but it fits a pack of gum and some lip balm and the tire pressure gauge. SYNC 3 is beautiful! I have the original SYNC in the Edge and it's just a fucking retard. Never remembers anything. The only thing that I don't like with SYNC 3 is that when you have your phone paired with it, the navigation feature doesn't get used. Your phone overrides it, but that's OK because Matt said the phone sounded great and I can still say "Hey Siri" and give it a command and navigate anywhere I want / need. Took a ride (by request) to the body shop and got a price on stripes - under 3K! I was shocked and think it's a good deal. I may put vinyl on for awhile to see if I'm 100% on them first. I also may take off the rear spoiler entirely. The body shop will have to fix the holes and paint it if I do that or I'll just get a different spoiler. I'm not thrilled with this one and it's just a hunk of cheap plastic.

0 The burnout feature would be a type of line lock. It locks the front brakes only.
I imagine the launch feature engages the line lock till you tramp on the loud pedal then it releases so you can put a little torque load on the transmission before you get the "go" light.

You have to have the clutch all the way down as well as the throttle (to the floor) then you release the clutch while continuing to hold that throttle to the floor and off you go!

0 That's line lock then! Just that the car engages and releases the brakes FOR you rather than the process of: Step on brakes, engage line lock, take foot off and hold button down which releases back brakes, when you dump the clutch simultaneously release the button.
Had that on my 1962 Catalina. I got it as the option that Hurst called "roll control" when I bought my shifter. Of course I had to install all the plumbing and wiring with the solenoid myself. The nice part of that system though was that I could either fully release the front brakes (launch from the tree) or roll it off gradually for a nice long burnout which left me gummy tracks to launch from.
