Governor Sleazebag Murphy has decided to up the ante on fucking us over as free citizens.
My radar detector has been off the charts the last week or so and now I know why.
This article and it's source article shows how we can now get a driving ticket and POINTS for a variety of bullshit they consider "distracted driving" - one of which includes talking to your passenger. seriously.
So any cop feeling itchy can just say he saw your lips moving and give you a ticket.

Quote:A new crackdown is beginning. Some of the things you could get pulled over for may surprise you!
U Drive. U Text. U Pay.
That's the name of the campaign and it includes new enforcement strategies.
This includes fines of up to $400 for a first offense...increasing to $800 and THREE POINTS for additional texting and driving offenses!
BUT...there's a whole lot more to Distracted Driving month than just using your cell phone.
Below you will see a list of what cops might consider reasons to pull you over:
Police will have roving patrols, spotters on highway overpasses(!), and cop cars parked at strategic locations.
Be sure to remind your new teenage and young-adult drivers!
And now for the list of other things considered distracted driving:
-- Eating and drinking
-- Talking to passengers
-- Grooming
-- Reading, including maps
-- Using a navigation system
-- Watching a video (uh, duh!!!)
-- Adjusting the radio, CD player, or music list
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head
