I don't remember if I posted something similar before or not.
Anyway........
Back in college my broadcasting instructor suggested a great exercise which is designed to help build/supplement vocabulary and spark verbal creativity. Besides that.....it can be pretty damned fun!
Take a common phrase or saying and restate it using different words. The more "high brow" the wording, the better.
Example:
I prognosticate that fecal matter shall strike the electrical rotary wind moving device.
EQUALS
I think the shit's gonna hit the fan.
My friends and I came up with some pretty good ones over the course of time and to this day I still do it from time to time.
Give it a try and post what you come up with.
