Yep. This happened at work this weekend. Poor Boss.
We had been rushed off our feet and finally we get the kettle on for a coffee. The boss's daughter helps on a Saturday and we were chatting about school and stuff.
A middle aged lady enters the shop so, letting us have our break the boss goes to serve her. He slips back into the dispensary, picks up a reference book, takes a deep breath goes back into the shop.
'Hats' and me look at each other. Hats whispered 'Dad's trying not to laugh' I agree, but can't think how to go and rescue him. Then I see him running the credit card machine.
He returned to his coffee and we just watch him. Then he tells us.
The lady launches straight into the conversation.
'I'm have trouble with my bush'
Boss says 'What sort of trouble?'
'It's a very big bush and the problem has got worse over the summer, so I have to do something. It is very painful and the rash gets worse every time I do it'
'I'll show you' She says
Boss
She takes off her jacket to show him scratches and a rash on her arms.
The 'bush' is outside her front door and has thorns on it. She walked into it in the dark and it turns out she is allergic to it.
What were you thinking?
