Discount auto mirrors
OK I have two very expensive side view mirrors busted on my truck. Autozone and Ford quote me at a little below or at $300 for EACH mirror replacement. Not the glass, the entire body/framework with electronics.
Well, I went hunting online for replacement mirrors and I found THIS PLACE. OMG the prices are fantastic! With shipping I'm paying $142.07 for BOTH. ![]() I then shopped for other online site and this place has the best prices by half of what the others wanted and the exact same "brand" / item. When they come, I'll let you know the quality. I just cannot justify the pricing of Ford and other retailers for these things. They're just plastic crap, like everything else they make cars out of these days. I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

RE: Discount auto mirrors
Many "aftermarket" replacement parts are the people who make the same parts for the original manufacturer under contract. OEM stuff is generally marked up ungodly.

RE: Discount auto mirrors
The mirrors came yesterday and I got one of them installed this morning. Have a lot of errands today and I'll do the other one later on.
They're pretty nice! The only thing is they are about 4" shorter (out from the body to the end of the mirror housing) than the originals. I don't mind that since I'm not hauling anymore and I can see the side of a trailer just fine with these anyway. What a bitch to install! 4 bolts, have to pull all kinds of rubber plugs which broke all my fingernails, pull the entire door panel off and the speaker just to get to the electrics of the mirror! Half hour work if you know what you're doing and zip! It's done. I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

RE: Discount auto mirrors
Just put the second one on and guess what? The small wide angle mirror to cover the blind side is moveable! I have been wishing for those to move since I bought the truck. They were permanently fixed in the wrong direction rendering them useless even with a trailer on the back.
I'm happy

RE: Discount auto mirrors
Cool deal. It's always a plus when replacement parts are actually better (in function) than the OEM.
