hmm, you have a point TK.
I have to admit that as a 16-17 teenager, if the chance presented it to me I would had probably done it with a hot teacher who I found attractive. that is, if he was unmarried. even as a teenager, I had morals like: "You don't bang somebody who's married or is known to be taken by somebody else. it might come to bite you in the butt".
It just turns out that a lot of the teachers at my school was married so that fantasy was out for me. plus if a hot attractive teacher who was married came on to me, I would had reported him not just because he was a creep but because he was cheating on his wife with young students and I would had felt that the world as well as his own wife deserved to know what a cheating scumbag he was.
however, tk, you have to keep in mind that those teachers aren't just going after seniors. if it was just senior high school kids who looked like adults themselves then it would had been more understandable.
However, some teachers go after kids who are like 10 years old. they don't even look like adults at that point, you know? and at that age they're only starting to shed that mentality of playing with dolls/playing with trading cards/etc or whatever it is that kids that age slowly stop doing.
that's the other thing here... it seems like a lot of kids' today have their mental growth stunted. they're just more emotionally and mentally immature than ever. so in the past, having sex with a 16-17 year old was just you having sex with a young adult. Nowdays, you're just a creep who's having sex with a person who might have the body of an young adult but with the mental capability of a 10-year-old.
I guess it's just one thing for the kids to initiate it... another thing completely for the teachers to start initiating it themselves. Some kids develop mentally and emotionally at different rates, and some guys/girls aren't just ready for it while others are.
I think those young guys who makes such comments have to think about what they're really saying before they actually alienate anybody with their comments. I'm sure there's plenty of teenage girls or young women who thought: "She got into an relationship with a teacher that hot?! hot damn, I sure don't blame her. he's so sexy.... I envy her." but they know better than to actually say it on those message-boards or in the comment sections. because they know that somebody out there had an non-consensual experience with this attractive man (even if we can't imagine how it would be non-consensual), and we don't want to be thoughtless or tasteless by making such comments publicly.
then there's the risk of coming off as sounding like some slutty nymphomaniac. we don't want to sound like we're easy, even if some of us might be. so I guess that's the difference between girls and boys in how they make such comments publicly.
