Thor
Anyone see Thor yet?

Rented it the other night and all it seemed like to me was a set up for a whole bunch of sequels.
The effects were pretty good though.

RE: Thor
I took my son to the theatre to see it in 3-D. I thought the only good part was the fight at the very beginning with the stone people. I mean, I loved it when he had his shirt off, but substance wise-rubbish.

RE: Thor
Yeah, it was certainly lacking in a lot. I'm hoping any sequels they get to do will be much better. Even if this was meant to be a set up kind of movie, they didn't do the story justice.

RE: Thor
Thor is garbage. If there was a love interest, they should have stuck with Siff, Jamie Alexander. Natalie Portman is overrated and doesn't hold a candle to her the more I think about it.

It was pretty much crap overall, I started laughing in the theater at the Black Heimdall or the Asian guy. Because there were Black Vikings and Asian Martial Arts Ninja Vikings and stuff. Not to mention they butchered Norse mythology - all well and fine as this is the Marvel Comics Universe I guess, but that was chopped up as well.

Yeah, now that you mention it, the rainbow of races had me wondering as well, but since I didn't know the comic book version of the story, I figured it was part and parcel to the comic.

I don't know the comic book story either, but the story was crap no matter how you slice it.

I watched it online for free, it was definitely worth the price of free I paid to see it.

RE: Thor
Matt checked out the comic book story briefly last night when I brought up this topic (be nice if he logs in himself and posts one of these days) and he said they totally changed the story. Thor shouldn't have had any memory of being a god when he came to earth and he was a doctor or something too.

I hate when they do that.
