Good old Pennsyltucky got soaked from hurricane Irene and hadn't dried out before this latest bout of precipitation started on Sunday. The predictions have it raining here until next Sunday morning!
Some communities in the central part of the state have already registered just short of 10" of rain!!!!!!!!
I had no work today because the creek flooded the road to our plant and there was no way to get in to get my trailer.
Tomorrow will be a crap shoot as well because I tried going in at 4 this morning and as of now (5 PM) the water was still rising with more rain on the way!
It was mentioned on the news that the predicted crests for many places along the Susquehanna river are going to be the highest since hurricane Agnes in 1972!
Knoebel's Grove amusement park which is just 30 miles from here posted these pics today. The green board to the left of the building in the first picture is the flood level marker. They documented high water marks from various floods over the years at the park. The top line was hurricane Agnes.
