Sometimes the news yields these little gems!
ShamWow Pitchman’s Former Assistant Sues for ‘Bizarre and Inappropriate’ Behavior
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A model who worked as a personal assistant to TV pitchman Vince Shlomi alleges in a federal lawsuit that he wanted her to be his "love slave" and offered her money for her eggs, The Smoking Gun reported Tuesday.
Jennifer Kosinski, 23, worked for Shlomi -- who appears in commercials for the ShamWow and Slap Chop products -- for about nine months before she was fired in April 2010.
Her lawsuit, filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, alleges that she was fired because she refused to show Shlomi a text message he believed was from another man.
Kosinski also alleges that Shlomi, 46, stalked an ex-boyfriend of hers, used binoculars to watch her while she was at the beach and said she could visit a cancer-stricken relative "when he's in the grave" when she asked for time off.
As she worked for Shlomi, the lawsuit claims, his behavior became "bizarre and inappropriate" as he tried to pressure her into a romantic relationship.
"Shlomi offered Kosinski $20,000 and a paid one month vacation for her parents to travel the world in exchange for her eggs," the suit says, and he became verbally abusive when she "would not tell him the 'secret formula' that he claims existed for her to like him in a romantic manner."
Kosinski is seeking undisclosed damages for unpaid wages, and accuses Shlomi of civil battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Shlomi was arrested in Miami Beach, Fla., on Feb. 7, 2009, on felony battery charges after allegedly hitting a 26-year-old prostitute who he said bit his tongue when he kissed her. He was not formally charged in the incident.
