Anyone have any good, sunny and reasonable winter vacation suggestions? Have done Mexico the last two years and would like to try a new place.

0 You should come winter over at the twisterosa!!
Really though, remember that Bermuda is on about the same lattitude as the Carolinas. We learned this one the hard way, packing only shorts and short sleeve shirts.

0 I got a ton of ideas if I knew what kind of vacation she is looking for. Depends if the kiddies are tagging along or not

0 It would be with the kids. Think, fun, lazy, activities by choice, SUN and maybe all inclusive. Oh yeah, and cheap.

0 Apple Tours has vacations in the Caribbean that are all inclusive, right now CHEAP and some are adults only, some kids. Beaches is family oriented and they take the kids off your hands so the adults can play. Beaches is all ages. Breezes is kids 16 and older only. I think both are in the Bahamas.
Go through your travel agent and they book the flight, transit from the airport and everything. You're not even allowed to tip on these things.

0 I will check into it. We are not looking at going til early next year. Will it be more expensive then? I've also heard using a travel agent will cost you more. True?

0 I've saved money with those all inclusive places with an agent instead of going around them. I priced directly from the hotel/resorts and they were more money. All I can say is shop around.
Winter months are less expensive than summer. I've gone in summer and winter and the prices weren't that much different. Get hurricane insurance if it's hurricane season (May thru November). The Bahamas has a lot of fun things to do off the resorts and it's safer than some of the other islands for tourists. Bring your own snorkels and masks. They don't exactly follow the best sanitation for these things. If I remember right, Breezes and Beaches has a circus school you can go to for the week They put on a show of what everyone learned at the end of the week. Unlike a cruise, these places include booze in the price too. Right now the prices are CHEAP. I mean REALLY cheap because no one is traveling or vacationing right now. You can probably make a nice deal now for whenever you want to go.
