0 Paper bags are a favorite toy for cats around here too. I'm more anti-plastic than not. I can clean the litter boxes just as easily and efficiently with paper as I can with plastic and I'd rather see less shit lying around my roads because the people are irresponsible.
I see those stupid bags all stuck in trees and in the woods where I ride to get away from the evils of people. I'm always saying there is too many things that are made of plastic now and frankly, the stuff is crap. Plastic is not as durable as wood, metal or vulcanized rubber. I find myself replacing plastic items ten to one than other well made materials. You are never going to change people's irresponsibility. People have been slobs from day one. anyone losing any jobs because a plastic bag plant closed is only losing a job in China IMO. Nearly 0 products are made here anymore. So few in fact that I was told those Giant brand bikes are made in China but ... get this - the guy boasted that all the designs are made here in the USA. Yeah, that made such a difference to me.

0 The biggest pisser here is that the Ecoboobs are the ones who made plastic bags the standard in the first place! They bitched and moaned about X amount of trees being used for paper bags so hence the switch to plastic...then cheaper plastic and finally cheap assed plastic bags. Now these singly simple minded do-gooders are seeing only plastic bags as a problem and advocate fabric bags.
When will they start bitching about the fabric bags not being easily biodegradable and start calling for oh I dunno......maybe bags made of straw? Lets just go back to the original brown paper bags I grew up with and be done with it. I mean fuckin' wow people......trees are a RENEWABLE resource. Plant new trees and they actually GROW!!!! Imagine that!

Just remember, these people are experts and we should never question their conclusions or proposed solutions to each problem as they have the definitive answers. As soon as they find out that if not laundered (which therefore "wastes" water) these bags will begin to potentially harbor bacteria because unless vacuum packed (in PLASTIC by the way) meat packaging leaks juices which will permeate the bag. You mean we had it right the first time and the dope fried hippies had it wrong? (09-01-2010, 10:42 AM)LKTraz Wrote: I mean fuckin' wow people......trees are a RENEWABLE resource. So much for my idea of extracting sap for making T-rex scented incense sticks to sell to PETA activists! 0 People don't understand that someone makes a living out of growing and cutting down trees, you gotta grow them before you can cut them. Everyone loves saving the trees, except the tree farmers.
As always the one thing that there is too much of on this planet and we actually can control is people, and nobody ever goes after the root of all our problems. Stop procreating with every fucking person you meet in your life time. Humans will eat themselves right off of the plant sooner or later. You can't have 300,000,000+ people in this country and never have a plastic bag, a new wal mart, a new oil refinery, a windmill, a new power plant, a new landfill. Move forward or die, or at least stop fucking!!!

0 OK, I was on a rant, I'd never stop fucking, but yeah, pretty much if you can't afford to take care of them, don't have them, and you don't need fucking 16 of them, one or two should do nicely.

0 How about teaching women in third world countries about birth control too? I mean I see that Christian's Children's Fund commercial all the time and those starving babies, flies in their eyes, bellies distended and young kids walking around barefoot in filth. WTF? How dare you have a child and bring it into such awful conditions! That right there is child abuse.
Now, do I really think the Christians will dole out birth control when they deem every sperm and egg sacred? Nope.

0 We have the same shit in this country, dirtbags that can't take care of themselves having a shitpile of kids for ME to pay for. MAKE those fuckers stop fucking, cut em off, sew them shut, whatever it takes!!!

0 I'm sure the women in third world countries hardly have a choice. Wake 'em up to womens rights and they may just think birth control is the best thing since food. How selfish I think those men are to continue to procreate because they either can't control their urges or they can't control their libido.
Here, it's a different story. Being poor is no excuse. Poor people can get birth control. These people are just what you say Twist.... shitbags who mooch off us.
