Arabs are some of the most terrible in terms of hygiene, and war in their countries reduces the foreign participants to the level of the inhabitants. I've shit in a Sadr City street and it was cleaner than most Arab shitters (true story).
We used to have porta-johns, and while they would be filled with shit over time, the moment the Iraqis allowed to work on the COP/FOB/Camp would use them, it was game over. May as well have burned that bitch down and sent it to Valhalla, because it died a warrior's death.
Word on the streets is that in Bulgaria, they still shit in Turkish style holes in the ground, squatting for the squirting. Fucking heathens.
I can only imagine how wonderful Africa can be.
And yea, JohnL, it is a little known secret, but having had the fine opportunity to clean female restrooms myself a few times, they are by far some of the most disgusting. I am sure many here would disagree vehemently, but it's true. I found shit stuffed up in the hand dryer once, a shit in the sink, maxipads all over (which by far was the greatest biological hazard), oh it was fucking terrible. Oh, and the smells. Fuck, enough to give a gynecologist an aneurism.
I could bleach those toilets from now till Christ comes back, and never get the smell out of the one offending shitter stall.
