Washer/Dryer Recommendations

Just a note here,

Kenmore is not an actual manufacturer. Sears contracts different manufacturers to produce the appliances FOR them. Most Kenmore washers are Maytags and the dryers are GE. The Kenmore vacuums are Bissel, fridges are Maytag, freezers are Frigidaire.

For me I've had great luck with GE washers and dryers and they are on the lower end of the price scale.

Kenmore is produced by Hotpoint.
Hotpoint took over the contract some 20 years ago. Maytag used to be the ones contracted to build for them.

Unless they changed again to spread it out among a few companies now? I do know Kenmore has a standard they want the item to be produced to and they are better than most of those brand names that build for them!

The sales lady said that Whirlpool manufacturers for Kenmore now. I got a nice set that will be delivered on Monday. The dryer has a steam function. Should cut down on the ironing. I never thought I would say this but I can't wait to do laundry.

I have a Dyson and I love it except for the hose part. It never seems to work right. Maybe I should get a canister....

I am glad to hear that you got the regular kind. I have the front loader, Kenmore washer and dryer and I hate them both. The washer stinks like crazy if you don't leave the damn door open after doing a load (unless it had been a white load with bleach) and the dryer takes forever. I hate them. Maybe the steam feature would be a help but I have the He3. My regular Maytags kicked ass over these freaking things.

I love my new washer and dryer!! They work great and I did 4 loads of wash yesterday. I can put so much more in the washer without that pole in the middle. Me likey!!
