The Incredible Mr Limpet! Twist just reminded me of that movie, that was a big favorite. I also loved Doris Day, my auntie used to take me and my sister to Saturday matinees and I loved Glass Bottom Boat.

BTW, I didn't forgive Bruce Dern until he did the Burbs with Tom Hanks.

He was always an interesting actor, he played the weasel a lot but he managed to come across as sort of sweet and vulnerable in a few movies I've seen him in.

Born Free I remember, That darn cat, Please Don't eat the Daisies, The Ghost and Mrs Muir - was a movie before the TV show.
You jarred a few out of me! Doris Day movies were always enjoyable. I used to watch all the Shirley Temple movies too but you know, now I can't stomach them at all.

Disney has a lot to answer to.

Most kids I know a Disney will be the first ever film to see. Mine was Snow White.....the first time around at the local village hall because the tiny cinema had burnt down (where we lived at the time).
Then as a family (granny/mum and kids) we saw it again, digitally enhanced or something. No1 son was was barely 3 years old . He sat through the adverts mesmerised by the big screen. Then the light went up (so everyone could make sure their phones were turned off (not to dash out and buy icecream) No1 son put on his Paddington Bear coat and ready to leave. He thought that was it!
The film started as he had nearly got out of the seat which left him half in and out of the tippy seat open mouthed transfixed. I had to gently remove his coat again, turn him in the seat and put a sweet in his mouth so he shut it.

I used to walk to the movie theater about 10 blocks away when I was a kid. (Lived in a Philadelphia burb)

I was also within walking distance (LONG walk) of the Tower Theater in Phila. Yes......the Tower actually showed movies BEFORE it became a small concert venue! I saw Robinson Crusoe On Mars there.

My sister took me to theater downtown to see Dr Doolittle starring Rex Harrison. I enjoyed Planet Of The Apes and my favorite movie as a kid/pre-teen was Bullit starring Steve McQueen.

One of those films we watch on a rainy sunday afternoon with tea and crumpets , or Les Mans and when Christine was here she would fight for The Italian Job (original) to be played, although she knew it word for word

I remember having a crush on Eddie from Eddie and the crusiers. I think I was about 10 and they showed it on HBO constantly. I also had a crush on every actor who played on the Outsiders.

That was Michael Pare, wasn't it? He was in The Philadelphia Experiment that I've seen about 8 times because he's so good looking.

Yep, that was Michael Pare. I saw Eddie and the Cruisers in the theater.
