RE: Another coffee thread - Twitchin Kitten - 09-08-2010 Yeah, I've left less than 5% at times with a note telling her that next time if she actually did her job she'd get more. My mother gave me grief doing that too citing that I used to work for tips doing hair. I told her I never got stiffed for shitty service either. I used to work that way too but when I did the math........$$30.00 coffee makers only last about a year for me and they don't have all the nice features. So at that it's $90 in 3 years with pots who will cook off coffee in an hour or so and no grinder. Add another $10 - $15 in the same time frame and you have the better Cuisinart. Ya just pay up front and realize the benefits over time. Kinda like buying a Kitchen Aid stand mixer. RE: Another coffee thread - twisteroo - 09-08-2010 I'm just moving into a starbucks.
RE: Another coffee thread - Jamminitin - 09-08-2010 I prefer Caribou. They don't have the stupid artsy fartsy names for the different sizes. They did, however, not have smalls at one time. Medium, large and extra large. Guess they figured out they weren't fooling anyone by calling a small a medium etc. RE: Another coffee thread - twisteroo - 09-08-2010 I just get the $2.00 coffee a starbucks. Everything works out good that way. RE: Another coffee thread - BarEdul - 09-08-2010 I have gotten up gotten my own coffee in front of a manager and left a 7 cent tip and told the manager why when I rang out with my credit card! This was after waiting for 20 minutes to get my coffee after being seated and not getting my water and being ignored by my server in an empty restaurant. I too have been a waitress... I'm kinda embarrassed to say how much it cost, there are starving children in the world for Christs sake. ![]() Anyway, my mom broke it last week by putting the water in the wrong compartment . I have to take it in to be repaired so I've been drinking instant coffee in the meantime. The instant is not all that bad actually, I add an extra scoop so I'm really flying off the wall in the morning.

It was really good, I wished I would have gotten a large one. I told them to go light on the syrup so it wasn't too sweet. RE: Another coffee thread - LKTraz - 09-08-2010 Starbucks???? NO WAY will I pay their highway robbery prices for the over rated shit they serve! Vente schmente fucke youe tooe. I just want coffee....I don't give a fuck if the server is a barista or a barrister. At least with the barrister I could get legal advice. Starbucks = DIE YUPPY SCUM....at least for me that is. RE: Another coffee thread - Twitchin Kitten - 09-08-2010 Calm down boy.... you're pushing that vein again. |
