I used to drink the flavored stuff ALL the time, but lost my taste for it. Now I can't stand it. Don't know why.
The only coffee I like is the super dark roasted or a Sumatra, Hawaiian, or Columbian thing.

I am not a flavored coffee drinker.
Yesterday I was in the thrift shop, they had one of those Italian or French cappacuino or esspresso or whateverthefuck they are makers. Real heavy, well made, stainless steel thing with all the crap. It had the little vent hole, the baskets and it screwed together. It was $5, I thought about buying it just for the hell of it, then I thought about tiny little cups of coffee, then I thought about putting it up in may attic, then I thought about throwing it in the garbage or putting it on Craigslist, then I thought about just wiping my ass with $5, and avoiding the whole deal.
I stopped back in there today and it was gone, so I got a really good pair of pants for $2.07. It was whitetrash wednesday.

Call me crazy but I don't mind a bit paying $100+ for Cuisinart coffee makers with a built in grinder and thermal carafe!
The coffee is FRESH ground and the heater is top notch. The thermal carafe needs no warming pad and keeps the coffee hot for 4 - 5 hours! No cook-off.
My last one just gave up about a month or so ago after 3 years of nearly commercial volume use!!!!! The last pot it made was as good as the first one. The water jacket cracked so I had to give it a decent burial.
I might get the one with the burr grinder and bean reservoir next.

OK, OK..... It's gross. But when you said you'd rather wipe your ass with the $5 it reminded me of when Me, Matt and Bobby were out at Bum Rogers for garlic crabs. It was January and the place was quiet. (I love the beach in winter here) - anyway, as usual, we had an awful waitress. Probably because Bobby is a disgusting slob at the table and he's pushy. Sometimes he can be embarrassing to be with but he's my best friend since second grade. I bet there is plenty about me that annoys him.
Anyway.... he was pissed at her crap service. She was exceptionally crappy and rude on top of it. Nothing Bob did should have warranted that nor provoked it. So He says, "Fuck that bitch. I'm going to wipe my ass with every dollar I leave for the tip."
I didn't think he'd do it but I should know better than to dare him. He came back with the tainted money and we left.
When he comes down, we swap who buys and who tips. It was his turn. We haven't taken him back there since.

That does sound cool but I am pretty sure I am too cheap to spend that kind of money on a coffee maker.
Maybe someone will give me one for my birfday!! woo-hoo

hmmm-something I would like to do to a couple waitresses I've had. We went out to breakfast on Saturday. She wasn't a bitch or anything, but EXTREMELY inattentive. Had to ask for everything, silverware, ketchup, refills etc on the rare occasion she passed by our table.
I tipped her $3 on a $27 tab. My 14 yr old called me out. I told her thats what happens when you don't do a good job. harumph.
