0 Trouble, you might want to limit how often the cat goes outside now (if that's where he / she goes during the day). Cats like to slink off to secluded and weird places to lie down and die.
I had a cat who kept trying to go into a nook in the driveway and if I wasn't home, he'd have gotten run over while he was dying or already dead. They find the hardest places to get to as well, like under the porch, in the farthest corner under the house, inside your car's engine block....the areas of horrible places is endless. ![]()

You know I like the girl at the emergency vet who took care of Goliath's ear this past summer. We're hoping she gets herself a gig at a private practice and not just ER vet care. The vet who saw us yesterday was OK and Doc won't hire anyone who wasn't at least as good as himself. He's been through a couple associates over the years and he never was satisfied. So far this lady (I can't even say her name let alone spell it) seems like she may fit. ![]()

I'm pretty sure I know where she'll go and as it stands, it's under my house. ![]() I was thinking that when she started looking disabled, I'd bring her in and make a room just for her and nurse her till it was time to put her down. But she was looking pretty fit for her age last time I saw her (yesterday or the day before). I hope she shows up soon! She's been liking the soft/canned food you suggested btw. Thanks.

0 TW, feed your cat some rotisserie chicken now and then, mine eats chicken or canned tuna and condensed milk, won't touch canned cat food or regular milk.
the vet gave him 3 months to live a year and half ago. kitty leukemia she said. fat sassy and very much alive today, I think its the chicken.
A resolution to avoid an evil is seldom framed till the evil is so far advanced as to make avoidance impossible.

My cat was diagnosed with feline leukemia as well. He was pure skin and bones. We were going to take him in a field and put him to "rest" but couldn't bring ourselves to do it. Well, as time passed he started eating and got better and was a fat old cat. He died about 10 years later at 17. I am so thankful we were too wussy to put him out of his misery.

0 yes and when feeding strictly "people" food you need to supplement with taurine or the effort will be fruitless.
I just discovered some fancy cat food that he likes. snarfed it up too, I think it's that Fancy Feast elegant entrees or some shit like that. It's all fish and liquid but has the vitamins he needs. Anything right now to get him to eat. He needs to eat like every hour too. ![]()

0 I feed my kitties that fancy feast crap and they both love it. I'll give them an occasional can of tuna but not very often. I tried giving Bernie a sardine and he wasn't amused... but it WAS interesting coming back to the kitchen an hour later to see how the fish had started to curl up when it dried.

0 It's this stuff he liked tonight. http://fancyfeast.com/appetizers/
The other cats don't care what they eat. I usually buy it by the case at PetSmart. For some reason the crappier the brand of canned food the better they like it. Sophisticat is the favorite for the last year or so. I bought those dehydrated anchovies for snacks once and they all snubbed them. They go nuts over MY tuna but the cat food fish flavors are not as big a hit as the liver or other nasty looking shit in the cans. Those appetizer things are too much like MY tuna so of course they like those. ![]() |
