the sleaze capital of the country! i am sooooo glad to miss it this year. it was fun the first few times, quite a show. after a while it got old, noisy, and a cop's nightmare. not my jurisdiction, but friends on that dept. i visited.
MOST of the bikers were good people and no problem. awful traffic, DUI deaths , fights. no colors allowed!
some good pics here of the freak show. some gorgeous bikes too.

When I lived in Sacramento, a neighboring town had a yearly crawdad festival that I always wanted to go to. So my hubs at the time and I drove there, looking like a couple of twits out of an LL Bean summer catalog and the streets were crawling with biker types giving us the hairy eyeball. I grabbed my guy's arm and demanded we leave. Fucking assholes looked like they were just dying to start something, especially the disgusting slags that were questionably women.

Not my cuppa tea.

I'm not looking forward to it. I live outside of Daytona, but I still have to put up with all the Traffic. We usually take the kids to the Iron horse during the day just because they have pretty good food and to watch the freak show, other than that I hate bike week.

I enjoy it. I used to go every year until a few years ago.

LC has a tainted view of it because she got to see the worst side of drunken bikers. And not for nuthin' bikers are not the only ones to turn into assholes when gathered in one place and drunk.

Sinister never went. They go on their own made up bullshit runs.

I've gone to plenty of these kinds of events and very few fights broke out around me and the truth is bikers are not out looking to get into fights for the sake of it, they're all pretty friendly. You let the likes of that wannabe ruin the image for you.
