I wanted to make sure they got all the rust spots before Frank gets those stripes on there. They said it's oxidation not rust as the hood is aluminum. funny, looks rusty to me. Frank couldn't find his invoice for the stripes to get the exact same ones. Good thing for bank statements and adding comments! I was able to narrow it down to the exact date he put them in and when I got the check from the dealer so he can see when he ordered them. That's a 3 week window The body shop said the car will most likely be there until mid week next week They're at Frank's mercy. I suggested that when they talk to the dealer that they see if they didn't do the wheel repair yet if it's a good idea to send the car back to them to have that done while waiting on the stripes to come in. I really want my car back for the weekend.

0 Well, technically rust is oxidation, just from iron, by definition, iron oxide. Aluminum oxidates all the time, it just can't rust is all. Lol.

0 I visited the car today. Needed to get my EZPass out of it and some of my grocery bags. Necessities ya know? The body shop did a really nice job too. These guys are sons of A to Z Auto Body on Staten Island, who are quite famous in the area. This is County Line Auto Body here - the sons of the original A to Z. Awesome place, immaculate shop. I can't wait for the warranty to run out because I am really leaning toward having the stripes painted on her.

0 My bad bitch is home.
Man I missed her. So happy to be rid of the pig. They did a beautiful job detailing it too. Picked her up this morning. Went out to the surf festival Saturday and managed to avoid a ticket too. Man, I got lucky. I cut off a trooper on the parkway. He was in an unmarked SUV. Sped up to about 82 or so and I see that SUV tailgating me. THEN the fucker turns on the rollers. Ugh. I pull over to a safe spot and we chat a bit. He asked me if I knew how fast I was going and I said yeah, but you were tailgating me so I sped up so I can find a hole and move over to let you go. He said he wasn't tailgating me but declined to bother arguing. He asked where I came from because of the NC plates on the pig and asked where we were going. Then asked me how was my license. Spotless. He let me go without a ticket. Matt still can't believe I got away with blaming him for tailgating me as an excuse!
