That chart looks very handy.
If I go bulb shopping I might have to print it and take it with me.

0 Fuck me, I had one of my flood light bulbs blow out in the kitchen. I got two 1000 lumen LEDs at Walmart. I kinda like the light they put out except it was nearly $50 for two of the little fuckers. They better last the 22.5 years that the box says.
So I shouldn't have to worry about them till I'm 75. I will start sloooowly replacing my old bulbs as the go to hell on me.

0 LED lights don't generate much heat when they're on and that's what determines the lifespan of light bulbs. Now that 22.5 years figure is explained on the box as determined by their "average use hours".
If you still have the box take a look and see what the figure is. Judging by the way the LED lights on tractor trailers hold up, they DO last way longer than traditional lighting.

0 Heat is also the killer of LED's. I like that you can get them in all sort of form factors now. I won't be just replacing my old bulbs, but as the go, I will put LED's in. Mostly because of light output, I have them in the taillights in the truck as well.
