With all the crazy talk in the news and online about gun control and whether this imbecile in the Florida shooting was indoctrinated here or abroad, why is no one talking about the real issue?

Does it really matter where he was indoctrinated? This is a MASSIVE FAILURE on the FBI. They're sticking to their bullshit how they vetted him multiple times (DUH) and found nothing. Seriously?

ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS MAKE ONE PHONE CALL.

One call to local authorities and this guy would NEVER have gotten a permit for ANY kind of gun. Fact.

Maybe talk about the fact that he worked for one of the largest private security firms in the world? Sound like workplace screening is a tad lax huh? Any bets on whether or not any of the guns he used were supplied by his employer? And all the people that knew him coming out saying he was violent, talked about killing people, had a bad temper etc. Plenty of missed opportunities here.

Yep. Do you know the name of the company he worked for? I haven't heard. Would be funny if it's the one Matt is suing for non pay and expenses.

Turns out he was on the no-fly list.
Now the moment his background check went in there should have been a flag on it.

DROPPED BALL AGAIN!

Yep. WE know enough to to hold the FBI accountable, but the media I silent and the FBI's lane explanation for its (non) action is accepted and they're trying to lay blame on everyone and everything BUT them.

ONE phone call is all it would have taken . Not even an arrest was necessary, just a call that would have prevented him from getting a firearm permit.

I'm surprised the world isn't blaming George Bush.

Here in the United Kingdom a Member of Parlament was assassinated,Now we have strict gun laws,BUT if you know someone it's easy to get a gun,It's not gun laws that need a reality check it's the mental heath of the nation,Gun crime is rife in Bermuda where guns are totally illegal,I've seen guns for sale at yard and car boot sales in New Jersey,New York and Pennsylvania,
Here gun sales are totally controlled, even if a gun is purchased on the internet,it must be sent to gun shop for collection
Added to the fact firing a gun,to hit a target,is a controlled art

The big point on the folly of gun control is this: there were murders BEFORE guns were invented. Did we ban swords, spears, clubs, rocks, fists?

Fact: Worldwide there are more violent crimes and murders committed with blunt objects than there are with guns.

Mark, It's not so much the mental health of the nation that needs a check, but those who are mandated by law to do those background checks must do their jobs.

It's not as easy to get a gun in most states as the news claims it is. That's why so many murders are done with illegally obtained weapons.
You absolutely CANNOT go into any state and just pick up some guns and go about your merry way. Sure, you can buy them at swap meets, flea markets, used online etc, but the owner CANNOT just send you off with it / them. There is paperwork involved and that depends on the state you live in. THEN said purchase has to be shipped to you via their local gun shop to your local gun shop and you must present your purchase permit there again. This IMO is a dirty money making scheme devised by ill-informed politicians with stupidity on the brain. It's costly to have a gun shipped this way.

Regardless of what you hear the democratic politicians tell you, getting a gun is not as easy as they claim, especially in states that have very strict gun control laws like NY, & NJ.

It's ALWAYS true that when you start taking away the guns, the crimes committed with them will not stop. You can't punish the people who follow the law and the rules in hopes the "bad guys" will follow by example. If people are going to kill, and people will, they will find a way.
