Many of the aging voice actors came from a background in radio. I listen to the Radio Classics channel on Sirius quite a bit while on the truck and you'd be surprised at how many of them are either still with us or have only very recently departed. As well there are some who did MANY different familiar characters. 0 One of my current favorites is Clancy Brown. He was an actor in Earth II, but he also does the voice of Mr. Krabs on spongebob... which sounds so different from his normal voice it's crazy. He's also a damn giant coming in at like 6'5" or so.
