Well, having asked Brian to take photos of the house before I decorated, I should have known it would never get done, but its all nearly finshed now, so I figured I'd show of my hard work anyway.

This is the living room, we have ordered a big brown leather sofa for in here and we still have to hang the curtains (another job for Brian, so who knows when it'll be donePunish) The colours look a bit funny in the pic, the walls are kind of a forest green and cream.

The kitchen was really grotty when we arrived. The counters were so grimy I had to scrub for hours to get them clean and the grout on the tiles was all brownBarf

The verandah where the cat run will eventually go

Still a few things to do. The place looks really empty, but I'm sure it won't take long to fill it!

I love your kitchen! Everything looks so nice a roomy too.

You've got quite a nice sized yard and "veranda" ( we call that a patio here!)

So? when's the housewarming party?

Yes? when the house warming? Ozzies are big on parties Biggrin

Looks brilliant-the wood burner reminded me we were so surprised to see one in my sister-in-laws house on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. So even Australia gets cold Wink

Back home I'd call it a patio here - but apparently if its covered it's a verandah!

I love the little wood burner, I think it's so cute! And yes, particularly in South Australia, it gets bloody cold in the winter (June - August, too wierd!) I'd say nearly as cold as Dublin, except they don't get snow or ice - a little bit of frost. I think in the mornings it was around -2 Celcius.

House warming will be over Christmas - the more the merrier - of course, I don't really have any friends here (just the oneAww) so if y'all wanna hop on a plane...!
I think Brian's workmates are coming for a barbeque (now we just have to get a barbeque!) and my mum is coming in January.

Good looking place ya got there!

I'm sure it won't be long till you find things to fill up the empty spaces and give it the lived in look.
