If you are going to get them toys and things to keep them busy (a paper bag gives hours of fun if I recall) having something human in there will not be of any interest to them

0 Trudi's right Sarah. Just no stringy toys, no tin foil, plastic wrap or anthing like tree tinsel, yarn etc that can get swallowed.
Cats cannot spit out something that gets caught on the tongue due to the 'barb's' pointing backward on it. Paper bags are great, crinkle sacks you can get at a pet shop too. Make sure they have their own things to scratch. Little known fact: most kittens do not attract to catnip. It is most attractive for adult cats but it's not unheard of for any cat to not take to the stuff. Catnip is part of the mint family.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 Hmmm, I think I might grow some catnip myself - by the time they are old enough to appreciate it, it'll be ready.

0 Small stuffed kitty toys are generally a hit with kittens. "Bizzy balls" (little balls with bells inside) are another good one for smaller kittens. They will entertain themselves for hours when they discover that batting them makes them roll. A self initiated game of chase!
http://petsupplies.nextdaypets.com/buy/W...lls~19172/ When they get a bit bigger you might want to get them a weazel ball. This is hit or miss. Some cats love to play with them and others are indifferent to them. They are only about $10 so how can you go wrong? |
