Any claims of a CAI giving more than 6 - 15 HP increase are based on "perfect laboratory conditions" and not REAL gains in a practical application.
A CAI will give you smoother acceleration due to the better airflow and the shifts will be better due to the decreased reaction time with the engine breathing easier with respect to the "flow" of torque.
That is why I recommend going with the less expensive Spectre system. The gains they claim are realistic rather than the "optimum situation" claims of other manufacturers. Why spend twice the money just to support K & N's advertising budget?
PLUS.......as I said before, you would be getting the tougher aluminum components as opposed to everyone else's plastic hardware.
I'll get a good pic of mine on the Ram to give you a better idea than the stock pics of the system from websites.
