US nuclear sub is given orders to bomb Pakistan, the captain questions orders since they came through unusual channels, he's relieved of duty and his subordinate also questions the orders. Bomb is sent after the sub. Chaos and mayhem ensue at home when false stories are leaked.

Super exciting new show! The first episode is on amazon streaming for free.

I saw one or two commercials on this and totally forgot about it. I'm not sure if we're interested or not. I'll have to check out the first episode and make a proper decision. Network shows have been utter shit the last what? 10 years now?

We're watching the season premiere on demand right now.

It's a good show, but Matt is giggling at a lot of the goofy "protocol" before they went rogue.

Biggest thing that bugged me was the drunk navy seal guy's hair. They got the salutes right at least. I don't know anything about navy protocol and I don't really care that much if they use the wrong kind of weaponry etc. This isn't a documentary, I can overlook just about anything if the story is good.

Yeah us too. The one thing that did bug him is that when they were ordered to hit Pakistan and didn't, those SEALS were up in the control room pronto. Word and rumors get around a boat pretty fast, but not that fast! After they went rogue though, it all got good enough to record the series. Biggrin

Captain (or whatever rank the black guy is) looks like he's going to be a major fruitcake by the time a few episodes have passed. That's always fun.

I was pleased with the cast, they all came across as very good actors.

When we caught up with the Boardwalk Empire I bought one episode too many thinking I didn't see episode 5. I did, just fell asleep for the last ten minutes Gah

I don't buy all the shows I watch, that one was on free for the first ep though. Although I liked it so much I did buy a season pass.
