Anyone catch this on BBC America? We were a bit skeptical but the second show hooked us.
Started last Sunday.
Airs Sunday's at 9PM eastern time.
It's so weird looking at the depiction of NYC's downtown area for the time period. There are so many buildings with dates on the cornerstones not too far into the future from the period in the movie. (1865)

Description from IMDB:
Set in the Five Points neighborhood of New York City in the 1860s, focusing on a rugged young Irish cop who is forced to navigate his unruly and dangerous immigrant neighborhood while interacting with the uptown Manhattan crowd and the black community.
