They have been wanting to install OBRs (On Board Recorders) on trucks for years!
Forget the fact that truck transportation is even more regulated (with respect to drivers) than airline pilots. If I detailed all the stupid shit we have to adhere to and what they are proposing even FURTHER you'd think I was full of shit.
I mean hell....we have to log our activities down to 15 minute increments. This is the only industry where you can get a speeding ticket that they didn't clock you for. If your log book shows you speeding you can get a ticket. EVEN 10 DAMNED STATES AWAY FROM WHERE IT SAYS YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!
OBRs for private vehicles is pure bullshit. Oh BTW.....got OnStar? You already HAVE a "black box"!
