Seriously?
I saw a small blurb about it on the news but not the full details like I found in this article. I really think the whole idea that a city would own rain water one collects - whether it is in a barrel or pond, is really over reaching their authority over it's citizens.

I hope he sues all the guilty party, and 'cleans up' on them. This law should have been challenged decades ago, but probably wasn't because it was not enforced.

Never underestimate the ability of bureaucrats to make complete Jackasses of themselves. That is why government should be reduced to its "Lowest Common Functional Denominator". And that means Small. And that is exactly why I am a Huge Fan/member of the Tea Party, and FreedomWorks.

Well....I for one would have to retaliate by simply re-plumbing my shitter to a french drain and making sure the effluvient flow headed straight into the watershed! My reasoning? well the law DOES state that all waterflow to the Big Butte Creek belongs to them and far be it from me to deny them the water that is theirs. So what if I used it a bit before they got it? I DID after all let them have it in the end.

This logic simply shows how fucking inane the law is.
