OK so I'm a few years late getting to this one. I thought it would be a boxing movie about girl boxers and the end would be one of triumph and glory.

Nope, we're bawling our eyes out for nearly the last half hour or more of the flick.

I liked the movie and I thought both Swank and Eastwood were really good in it but holy shit, it was so emotionally manipulative. I hate movies like that, I felt pissed off that they had done that to me.

ET pissed me off too, turning all white like that. Little bastard.

Yeah, the movie was way better than I expected it to be. I wanted someone to get some payback on that bitch who sucker punched (elbowed) her though and nothing of that was even mentioned. I know, it's because that's not what the story line was going for. I understand, but I liked Swank's character so much I wanted that bitch to pay.
