I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 I don't have an account with them, but I was just curious.
I do have a Facebook account, but hardly ever go there. Its just a place where people can go and tell everyone about their love for "fill in the blank" or how much toilet paper they used last time.

0 The problem is that FB and Twitter never actually delete accounts when you do leave. I think Facebook MIGHT after a certain amount of time and you NOT EVER trying to test it and logging in. There's a sticky in the news area called Privacy Stealing Bitches that might interest you. I add to it when I find tidbits that fit in there.
But all in all, when it's all said and done, everything you put on FB servers is now something they own at the end of the day. They have access to EVERYTHING that is stored in the database and I mean everything. When you own something you do with it whatever you want. You need a team of people to maintain those databases and these people are the ones with access. The only thing they can't see is your password. If the images they let you upload are not converted to data, then they have full access to those as well. It's all how the database and program is set up as to how easy or difficult it is to view things, but there is no such thing as complete privacy in the database maintenance area. They need access to fix problems if someone writes in that they need help. Sometimes issues are fixed within the administration area of the software, but the real difficult stuff is done in the database.

0 I just remembered why the name WND and the name of that author sounded so familiar.
You remember my post a while back about how this author kept on talking about how women were "addicted" to porn and how they need massive help, etc.... as if it was a truly vile thing that women actually liked watching porn? I think it was on AI Jane though... Anyway this female author kept on making this huge fuss over it... she made it out that anybody who watched porn was nothing but a pervert who were on the verge of raping children all the time or something. While I do think porn addiction do exist, the way she went about it was completely ridiculous. She basically pretty much attacked anybody who had an sex drive, claiming that 98% of people had a "unnatural fixation with sex". As a woman who watches porn once in a while, and has a healthy sex drive enough to enjoy sex with my own boyfriend.... I resented the fact that she was claiming that women like me would sexually assault kids just because I watched porn more than once. And now I think this whole Facebook story has almost lost all creditability, just simply because it's written by the same woman who wrote a highly hysterical article about Female porn addiction, and how it was going to turn us all into sexual deviants. I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of her Hysterical Fear-mongering. After all, I've been on Facebook for more than a year now... I joined because my family and a few real life friends who lives out of state was on there and it's easier to keep tabs on them this way. and never in my life did I ever come across any kinds of porn, illegal or otherwise on there. In fact, Facebook seems to be crammed full of pictures of puppies and kittens on there, along with posts about religion and the like. There's a sliver of truth in there somewhere, but you know how those news media are... they take a sliver of truth and then blow it up into epic portions to make it seem like A company or a entire group is SUPER EVIL and working with the even more evil group that the police had been trying to stop. keep in mind that I am not defending Facebook... I couldn't care less if it went down... I would just tell my family to use another website for us to all keep tabs on each other. I'm just highly skeptical because this seems like a story designed to prey upon people's emotions and stir them up into an angry fevor just so that they can rake in the big money. |
