No bar code! Should I? Can we be bar code sisters?

They have to detail it tomorrow or Friday, gotta make an appt for that. I have my hockey team logo to put in the window and another one of my favorite cartoon kid, Calvin, who is picking his nose for the other side.

LK, correction on the engine... it's the 4.0 V6

Oy!!!!!!

The 4.0 has LESS HP than the 3.7

3.7 = 305 HP

4.0 = 210 HP

Still a healthy rating but 95 less is a significant difference.

It's healthy in a 3,400 lb vehicle but not as nice as the 305 rating on the smaller but gutsier engine.

My 88 Beretta was a bit modified and produced 228 HP from a 2.8 injected 6 cyl. At just over 2,600 lbs it sucked the headlights out of the 5.0 Mustangs of the time. There's no reason your new Mustang shouldn't have right respectable performance!

BTW......most bracket racers now prefer automatics over manuals (more consistency).

Know what sucks about white cars? Road filth. There's a film of black soot all over the car.

I go to the dealer today for detailing that they owed me. The did a nice job. I'm happy. I go off to find some kind of thingy for my phone to work in the car hands free. I get home and Matt sees soot on the rear bumper, smears it with his fingers and now I got MORE soot smudges. He's now walking round and round the car finding smudges and smearing them all over. Friggin' car looks like it's got zebra paint now. Banghead

No there isn't, even if it's a new used car!

They were supposed to align the front end today too but the salesman who is handling all this didn't realize he has to make an appointment to do that ahead of time, not slip it in after the detailing. So, Tuesday I go back for that.

That is why my Babe is cream and not 'kitchen utensil white' Wink

Notice that is a popular white on the new Audi's here- they are always in the carwash on the main raod, unless they are having aclub meeting there, of course.

Better than black, TK

Yeah it is. I had a black truck once. Looked really sharp but you could see every swirl, nick, chip and scratch on it. Get a bad detailing and Holy Moley! What a mess.

Bought a few accessories for it today, all phone stuff so I can hear my phone through the speakers and talk instead of headphones/bluetooth. I'm not thrilled with bluetooth. The ear piece hurts me and the sound is not really that great. Got nice new ear buds for myself too... ones that don't hurt. Apparently I have tiny ears.

Shopped seat covers and Matt just refuses to sit in a car with Hello Kitty seat covers. I must find a nice neutral alternative. Another dilemma.... seat covers with an opening for the airbag. I have side airbags on the car and Matt seems to think that seat covers are not a problem and they will deploy through the cloth of the seat and the seat cover.

Matt is right. The bags will have no problem deploying despite seat covers. If they deploy then I really don't see you wanting to complain that they ripped up/off the seat covers.

Advantage with white cars: MUCH cooler in hot sunny weather.
Disadvantages: Nearly impossible to keep looking clean.

Yeah, I'm noticing the smudges real easily but I do notice it does cool down very fast and sitting in the hot driveway with no shade, windows closed, it's not nearly as hot as the truck gets. I got some window shades for the windshield anyway to prevent the dash from cracking.
