OK a fast search for slums in Hong Kong got me several mentions of a city called Kowloon. Is it Kowloon?
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 It is indeed Kowloon "The Walled City".
It no longer exists but many tourists visited this incredible slum that was a self sustaining area and nearly autonomous despite the Chinese central government. Alright TK....your turn.

0 Within Hong Kong?! Holy Cow, I thought the Brits taught them some sense along the way.
Somehow I was expecting a Shanghai moment.

0 Never ending apologies for this and 30 lashes with a wet noodle.
I totally forgot about this. So while I wait for some stuff to dry so I can paint, I will set you all up for this. Where am I? 02.jpg (Size: 279.84 KB / Downloads: 0)

0 As far as getting that building up in 6 days its no that crazy because of how it was designed. The levels were built in blocks and the floors played no role in the structural stability. The floors were prefabbed as well so there was no drying time on concrete, it is just like putting a giant erector set together.
As far as US construction standards, inspectors at least in nj are complete BS they slow up construction until the builder "greases" their hands enough to start approving plans, union labor is bs for numerous reasons aswell. The current house I live in was constructed by american union workers and had town inspectors check the build out, and this house is built like garbage. I have nails popping out of my ceilings because they never tapped over the nails before they did Spackle, spanning supports in my attic are literally falling off the joists. I discovered last week my bathroom ventilation fan was held in with deck screws wedged between the housing and drywall. Just like anything in life you get what you pay for the most part if you go with the lowest bidder for a construction job there is a reason why they can do it the cheapest. My family got screwed because we paid the price of a quality house, cant wait to sell this shit hole.

0 Unless you build yourself Anthony you're going to get the same shit. I live in a house built in '62 and every time we do a project to improve here, we find so much wrong. The damn beams are not even 16" on center... it's a comic variety of sizes.
Now, we should start a thread about shitty construction and let LK's game thread go back to what it is.
