Soooo, now what?

OK the cooking site is officially moved. It's here. Links in the forum category and the top of the page in the welcome box (Recipes).

This is now a members only, invite and admin approve only site.
I have it closed for the moment because I need you guys to help me decide on something. I'll get to that in a minute.

I asked Dylan earlier how that cross site login thing is going and I'm keeping the board closed until I know what he can do with that or not. There are too many settings to mess with if I open the board and then he has the plugin for me and then I would have to reverse etc.

Anyway, friends are allowed to join. They need to be referred to me at TwitchinKitten@twitchinkitten.com. They must include the user from this board in their request to register.

OK so to the question.

The site originally was The Twitchin Kitchen. Named after the forum category that was on TK ages ago before it got too full for the board. So I gave the Twitchin Kitchen it's own site. That was slow. On advice from some geek friends, I changed the name to Super Cooks thinking the name was holding back activity. That wasn't it at all. It's the blogs. So many cooking blogs out there where people can have their own or where they can grab recipes without having a conversation or share in return.

now that the site is here again, I'm thinking of making it The Twitchin Kitchen again. I like the play on words.

Opinions please?

Well, if you're going to make it by referral only, then I would say that if/when I get the plugin going (which I'll have another whack at now that some new hooks are in the core) you should literally make it a referral required to join (a board referral sent from the UserCP) and that they also have to join TK (I can make it so that to register you have to be a member of this board via a plugin) first and reach a minimum level of posts or something.

OK The Twitchin Kitchen is set in name.
I am going to rebuild the extra pages over the next few days and republish that stuff. I want to get everything that says Super-Cooks out and replace with The Twitchin Kitchen.

Once Dylan and I throw around those dual login ideas, I'll make it so you can post. I'll keep the site open for now and you can browse recipes and stuff, just not register or post.

In the meantime I'll post something I had in mind for that site over here and later if you want to move it or have me copy it to that site we can do it. Tis a recipe for a Christmas/New Years traditional drink in the neck of the woods.
