Today Vizzy left for a two year stint in the Job Corps

the man of very few words will be away for awhile but I hope he gets time to get on Skype or the site with updates or just to say hello.

I'm going to miss my daily conversations on Skype with him!

I was mistaken, he's leaving Tuesday.

It's boot camp to learn a job skill or something like that.

I'm still here till Tuesday.

I'll make sure to take some pics of the place when i get there and post them when i get a chance.

Best way to describe is it's basically a free government run trade school with the added bonus of them helping you get a good job after. It doesn't look much different then a college campus, and from the few people I talked to it's not bad except for the food tasting a little funny. 0.o

Food never tastes the same when you are away from home.

Is it far to travel?
*Boot Camp - honestly define that one, when we were in W V we saw a couple of Bible schools (which were razorwired around the perimeter!) couldn't think of anywhere worse to send the kids for a holiday

Almost the same as those nutty bible schools without the razor wire. Or so he's told. We'll find out if there are guard towers and razor wire and electric fences when he gets there!

I looked it up on Google earth, didn't see any razor wire / guard towers. Plenty of places to hide snipers though.

I've never known anyone that went into the job corps before, the marine corps yes, but never the job corps.

Let us know if they treat you like the marine corps does.
