Matty and Mirelle

Sunday afternoon I lost my two girls... Matty was looking old since May and I expected to lose her anytime due to old age (she was 4 and months), so when I found her dead in their cage I felt sad but didn't expect to lose Mirelle too!
She got weaker and weaker within 2 hours and finally decided to lay next to Matty and die...
They were not sick at all, no runny noses, no diarrhea, no teeth issues... They were fine in the morning when I had to go to work... Maybe it was just too much to Mirelle to cope with...
They always lived together and everything was OK, they were best friends! So I think they decided to cross the bridge together...

What were they? hamsters? guinea pigs? rats?

When my little ones went, they all seemed to go one after the other too.

I remember your piggies- they were a lovely pair, poor Mirelle, maybe it was the distress of losing Matty?

Thanks Rhubarb, they were lovely indeed! I also think her little heart was broken... And that she decided to go with Matty...
I still have my two boars, Harry and Simon, and they seem to be fine. Since my girls were really loud, my house now is sooooo quiet! I miss them!
Rhubarb please feel free to post piccies and/or web pages, I love to see happy pigs!
Just yesterday my BF said to me that a friend of his in putting his chin for adoption... his allergies are turning just evil and doctor said he has to get rid of Wacko!! So sad... he wants me to have him, but I'm not sure... I've never had a chin... And with Casey still recovering... I don't know...:S
