Every one of my cats is "pushy". They all follow me around, sit by me, hang out by me and some squabble who gets to lay across my lap.

Sofie is the devil. She slinks around silently and steals EVERYTHING! None of my animals were food thieves until we got Sofie. Each one has a 'thing' they just can't resist but I can defrost meat on the counter and not one of them will touch it. Until we got Sofie.

She climbs up onto all the places where delicate crystal hangs out on display, my hockey collection is at risk and she is so small she fits into the tiniest places. Now I gotta cat proof this place. Mikki likes under the dishwasher and Sofie is the devil.

Scruffy and Tuxedo J. are kind of pushy, Patch is just the happiest carefree cat I've ever seen.

Although Patch has some further training to do in the field, shooting the stink eye at the photographer was a nice touch.

Patches gave you the stink eye because you took a pic of her peeing! The lady wants privacy.

Scruffy looks like he means business in that first pic! He looks like he wants to slap you for disturbing him.

Patch actually just got done grooming and was just walking away, caught she just starting to go.
Patch is actually the happiest cat in the world. Just so happy to have food and a place to stay, never wants trouble with anyone.

Patch is very pretty too. I like calicoes and tortoiseshells, they always have great personalities.

Patch is a funny one, she was an adult when she showed up here, hungry and just looking for a barn to stay in and some food. She has been around for I bet at least a dozen years, maybe longer. There is no telling how old she is, but she is getting old. She used to take off in the summer months for 2 or 3 months at a time, then come back for the winter. She stays full time now.
She loves the warmth of the basement and will take some canned food when she can get it.
Every spring she molts, her hair gets all matted and gnarled up with burrs and stuff over the winter and in the spring she rips it all out. I mean she will be damn near bald. I may have a pic or two of her. Her hair grows back before it gets cold out again.
She would have made a beautiful house cat. She is still a good cat though. Never been to the vet, never had a kitten, and as far as I know we are the only two humans she has ever had anything to do with.
Here she is with her fur growing back this summer.

Does she let you pet her so you can brush her? It's not normal for a cat to pull it's own hair out and those thick mats and burrs are painful. I bet she pulls them out because it's pulling on the skin.

I can pet her and pick her up, but she would almost need constant attention or kept indoors to keep her burr free. Sometimes in the spring we will try to help her shed some of that crap, we will cut some of the clumps off of her if she lets us.
