Horses are NOT useless. Blasphemy you sick man! Blasphemy!
I worked volunteer with my friend's handicapped riding program for years with the UCP (united cerebral palsy) and those kids benefited greatly from horses! To get out of that chair, get your muscles stretched and be on something that actually makes you feel like you're walking brought a lot of smiles to a lot of children's faces.
I've worked with kids without hands, deformed limbs etc and mental disabilities as well. The benefits of equine therapy are too numerous to list now but sorry, horses are not useless.
If I can afford to keep horses again I would. I benefited greatly from the exercise and my disability from injury was lessened due to the strengthening of muscle to support bone.
