I had a cat who kept trying to go into a nook in the driveway and if I wasn't home, he'd have gotten run over while he was dying or already dead.
They find the hardest places to get to as well, like under the porch, in the farthest corner under the house, inside your car's engine block....the areas of horrible places is endless.
I'm pretty sure I know where she'll go and as it stands, it's under my house. Long story but even though I've had her 20 years, she's borderline feral. She's been an outdoor kitty forever (although she has access to the garage). Anyway, since we got our dog, she lives mostly in our front yard and goes under the house (even though I got her a nice, padded cat house etc.). I've been thinking about blocking the under house access but I didn't want to do it during the winter months. Bringing her inside would be hard for her--like I said, borderline feral--she'd freak out (and she HATES the dog).
I was thinking that when she started looking disabled, I'd bring her in and make a room just for her and nurse her till it was time to put her down. But she was looking pretty fit for her age last time I saw her (yesterday or the day before).
I hope she shows up soon!
She's been liking the soft/canned food you suggested btw. Thanks.
