Hmm... I imagine I've eaten my share of tiny maggots then.
My grandmother (and great grandmother) used to do the same thing... soak the blackberries/raspberries overnight. I never knew why. I've eaten a lot of them straight from the bush though. Oh well. It's kind of gross to think about, but must not be harmful to humans.
